Sodzi Sodzi-Tettey is an activist writer, a leader and a public health physician.

With over a decade long engagement with the Ghanaian media, he has written numerous stirring pieces spanning health, politics and challenging social themes. His articles, often crafted in an engaging and distinctive style, have variously been described as creative, affirmatively disruptive and thought provoking. He is widely published on line and in numerous newspapers including the Graphic, Ghana’s leading national daily.

With a distinguished leadership track record, his knack for innovation and generating creative strategies to meet emerging challenges has been amply demonstrated. He is currently the General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association, a position he has successfully held since 2007. Sodzi is a passionate advocate for mutually enhancing partnerships, regardless of age or gender. In learning from what works especially in Africa and rapid scale up of same, the development gap is speedily bridged and the needs of under-served people and areas promptly met.

With experience in frontline district medical practice, additional training in health administration and management and a post graduate qualification in Public Health, Sodzi has a special interest in health policy analysis and health systems strengthening. He currently works with the National Catholic Health Service in Accra.
